Below are a collection of posters I have created over the years. Some have been for clients, and others are from ideas I have had in the past.
THE ASTORIA / GIG POSTER
A few local metal bands put on a show at the Iconic Astoria Hotel in Vancouver. I was given creative freedom to make a poster for this event.
THE DREADNOUGHTS / GIG POSTER
I created a poster for The Dreadnoughts' upcoming tour date in Kelowna.
I was provided with bands logos and venue assets. The Dreadnoughts are a very popular band within the 'Polka-Punk' music genre, which often incorporates sea shanties and sing-along chants into their music, so I decided to hand draw a scene involving a kraken and a ship sailing in the ocean as I felt that was fitting. I made the drawing a bit darker, so key information wasn't lost within the design.
With the main poster, I also re-formatted the design so it could accommodate different touch points, such as Instagram posts, stories, and Facebook/event banners.
BLINDNESS / PERSONAL WORK
I created this poster after drawing out different words, and landing on 'Blindness' as a good direction for a poster.

I used only black and white for this poster, as I felt a monochromatic approach would be a good tie in for the theme of the poster. I created the type by sketching it on Adobe Fresco, and finalizing it on Adobe Photoshop. The final design was put together on InDesign. A larger, more detailed image of the Type can be found below.
IDYLLIC / PERSONAL WORK
IDYLLIC is a design I created that was heavily inspired by the 70's, especially the Art Nouveau/Psychedelic music era. Wes Wilson, one of my favourite artists, famously responded to his unique designs and intricate, skewed typography, 'thats why people are gonna stop and look at it'. I created this design taking a lot of inspiration from works at that time.
DERELICT / PERSONAL WORK
Using some images taken on my phone of an old house and a field, I created this poster. My intention was for it to have a Sci-Fi theme to it, so I added some mist to create a sense of atmosphere. My decision to use the font, and keep graphic elements to a minimum, was to create a sense of isolation.
RELAX / PERSONAL WORK
Poster created by drawing out the word 'RELAX', and using an image of clouds I took on a morning walk. One of my earlier designs I still enjoy to this day.
